Lew Wallace's epic novel of redeption is at the heart of this rousing adaptation following an accused nobleman (Jack Huston) who survives years of slavery to take vengeance on the friend (Toby Kebbell) who betrayed him. Morgan Freeman also stars.

Ben Hur of 2016 boasts great visuals in the boat scene, is a powerful film, and has a decent chariot race. But it doesn't live up to the one of the greatest films of all time, the original. However with the powerfulness and might in it, it is worth at least one watch.

I love how this movie is intertwined with the story of Christ and his it portrays how the people might've lived and interacted as different social classes. For me this was a 10 all-around!

This is an old favorite classic.
