19 year-old Ben Burns (Lucas Hedges) unexpectedly returns home to his family’s suburban home on Christmas Eve morning. Ben’s mother, Holly (Julia Roberts), is relieved and welcoming but wary of her son staying clean. Over a turbulent 24 hours, new truths are revealed, and a mother’s undying love for her son is tested as she does everything in her power to keep him safe.

I was disappointed with this movie. Expected Ben to get sober not leave us at where the movie starts out..... like you wonder from beginning to the end on where you missed something.

Sorry, i love Julia Roberts but this movie lacked a lot of everything! Good story line but this movie didn't do "it" for me.

I liked this movie, as a mother relating to another mother blight! The trials and tribulations that she's goes through to protect the rest of family, when trying to say No and still help him. A tear jerker at time! Julia Roberts was fantastic in this role.
