Cop turned author thiller-- Dennis Meechum is a fiercely honest police executive who once gained celebrity as an author of crime stories. Cleve, by his own account, is a professional hitman whose killings helped build a business empire. When Cleve is fired after years of service by the industrialist whose empire he helped to build, he seeks revenge and the two men from opposite sides of the law come together to bring down the crooked businessman.
