Very good documentary. Although take heed because it will play on your emotions. Basically, the parents of the two girls seem disillusioned and heartbroken but don't seem like they can even comprehend how the parents of the victim feel. Honestly, keeping mental health issues aside, it seems like these girls weren't taught the difference between fiction and reality. So they believed in a fictional character and believed he was real...ultimately telling them to kill. Both girls were "normal" before it happened so the insanity argument is hogwash.

A lot of the information in this movie is false. They also said you had to kill someone in the movie but there is nothing on the internet that says you have to. In it they also claimes kids use 4Chan, DeviantArt and Reddit but those websites are very rarely used by kids and are made for adults. They added their own footage to some of it but that just makes it more misleading. If you want real info about Slenderman research it yourself. Most sources are fake like Creepypasta or Slenderverse.

Powerful and upsetting. Anyone with kids should consider watching this. I would have used this as a teaching opportunity and had watched it with my kids, who are no longer kids. HBO continues to excel in producing high quality documentaries that examine myriad social and cultural issues.
