A manipulative police crackdown on organized crime has ignited a tricky power struggle in the yakuza underworld. As the police force prepares a full-scale crackdown, anti-gang detective Kataoka wants to start a war between crime families for their mutual destruction. His war incendiary device is the rumored dead boss Otomo (Kitano), who seeks to retire from a life of crime yet can't help but get drawn back into the battle.

This movie starts with you having no idea whats going on and ends with you saying , well... all of that was completely pointless. つまらなかったです。

I loved the violence and acting in Outrage Beyond. The movie plays out more like a story you hear about rather than some typically hollywood gangster movie. Takeshi Kitano hasn't lost a step in directing his movies. I will rent this again sometime in the future.

Watched it on netflix first. I was confused at first mainly due to the fact I didn't know this was the second movie...still captivating and incredible!
