Inside an Israeli maximum-security prison, convicts organize into Jewish and Arab factions. As insults beget violence, which erupts into an orgy of bloodshed, conditions in the prison mirror life Beyond the Walls.

In an institutional microcosm of ancient hatreds and misunderstandings between people trapped together in a small, suffocating space, the future seems to hold only more violence--stoked by the corrupt, criminal entrenched men in positions of power.
