Billie Holiday had one of the greatest voices of all time and changed the face of American music. She was a woman of breath-taking talent and global popularity while also stirring controversy. She started a notable rebellion singing "Strange Fruit" which exposed the realities of Black life in America and earned her powerful enemies. Raw, emotional and brutally honest, Billie is filled with never-before-heard interviews from musical greats Count Basie, Charles Mingus, Sylvia Syms and Tony Bennett.

This movie was great. it was very informative and poignant. I came away with a clearer understanding of Billie's tormented life. it seemed she was surrounded by many and yet so alone. her lack of a father figure seemed to affect her choice of men or lack of men in her life. she seemed to be a tortured soul who escaped torment through singing in, that one-of-a-kind voice so raspy tuned and eclectic. I wish there was more about her.

Fascinating video of a wonderful artist. She was one of the first people to publicly express the pain and anguish being felt by so many folks during a tough time of racial divide and bigotry.

Terrible worst movie ever 😫😡 makes me feel like I have some diarrhea 😖😷😣😖😷😣😖😖😣😣😖😣😷😷😖😣😖😷😣😣😣😷😣😖😖😖😷😣😣😖😖😣😷😖😷😷😣😷😷😖😷😖😷 oh and did I mention the boom is in every shot
