Michael Keaton joins Emma Stone, Edward Norton, Zach Galifianakis and Naomi Watts in this riveting story about fame, fantasy and second chances. When a former superhero film star (Keaton) sets out to make a comeback on Broadway, he grapples with self-doubt, harsh critics, and his estranged daughter (Stone) in this imaginative, wickedly funny film from writer/director Alejandro González Iñárritu.

To me the acting was like watching a cheap theatre performance and the music sounded like they forgot how to use the drum and randomly beat it while half awake and this sound is what you hear all through the movie. The best part of the movie is when he's playing as birdman showing off his powers and when the movie ended, it felt like salvation. Everything takes place in a cheap theatre, only a few shots were made elsewhere. They actually did a good job at showing a glimpse of the lives of Hollywood actors.

The film does feel very much like Hollywood servicing itself, giving itself the knowing wink. The performances, the direction and the dialogue are simply good. Are they life-changing? They are not.
