Birds of Prey: The Emancipation of Harley Quinn ist eine ziemlich abgedrehte Geschichte, von Harley höchstpersönlich auf unnachahmliche Art erzählt. Als einer der schrecklichsten Schurken Gothams, Roman Sionis, und seine sadistische Rechte Hand, Zsasz, ein junges Mädchen namens Cass ins Visier nimmt, wird die gesamte Unterwelt der Stadt auf den Kopf gestellt, um sie aufzuspüren. Die Wege von Harley, Huntress, Canary und Renee Montoya kreuzen sich: Der ungleichen Viererbande bleibt nichts anderes übrig, als sich zusammenzuraufen, um Roman zu besiegen.

Outside of Joker this is the only DCU movie i enjoyed. I watched this film a few times now and its on the list with Thor Ragnarok/Guardians as one of those easy to watch funny films to have on in the background. Its an all girl led movie without pushing that as the selling point (like a lot of other movies i seen lately).... A good movie is a good movie regardless of the gender/orientation etc of any character. No forced moments *cough* Avengers 4 ....the two main villians (zaz and black mask) are very amusing and play such sinister characters you just love it when they are on screen too Margot steals the show as you might imagine, shes a very talented actress and its shows that she does most her own stunt work Yeah the plot is a bit.. well missing, but its a fun movie where not a lot really happens, it clearly has taken notes from deadpool with the narration which i always like in a film personally On a side note it plays nicely into the Harley Cartoon which i also recommend for a bit of fun

Don't believe the hype. Whilst Margot Robbie returns on form and Ewan McGregor tries his best, this movie barely goes anywhere for a hour in terms of plot, which basically kills the film before it gets going. Nothing more than exhaustingly repetitive fight scenes, largely unimaginative violence (the only stand out scene being the police station), gratuitous swearing and (apart from Robbie and McGregor) tiresome acting and pointless backstory. Suicide Squad was a mess, this is no better.

Bland, boring and unenjoyable. I'm surprised that it's not unbearably woke, but that doesn't mean it's good. The acting is poor (the only one who cared was Jurnee Smollett-Bell), the story was not engaging, and has debatably the worse marketing ever. They didn't want men to watch it, they blamed men for it being a flop, and they have the balls to say women like it, when I know a lot of women who don't like it, or don't want to support them. Don't bother wasting your money.
