Excellent portrayal of Whitey Bulger by Johnny Depp. John Connolly was the corrupt FBI agent who helped Bulger and was sent to prison for it. The Boston FBI reeked with malfeasance and corruption, and spawned the Top Echelon program that enabled Whitey Bulger to murder people with impunity for decades. Joel Edgerton does a great job portraying the sleaziness and arrogance of John Connolly.
