In Marvel Studios' action-packed spy thriller "Black Widow," Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. "Black Widow"-the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe-is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.

I thought it's a step in a different direction than what we were used to with other mcu movies, it's fights are fast and hard hitting but all it's characters are actually humans with skill no special powers so it's a grounded film that is based around a key theme being family. The film is a prequel though which drastically lowers the stakes as we already know it's main character cannot die no matter what as she is alive in future installments, aside from that I found it is enjoyable

Good standalone movie though it could have ended on a high note. Some end moments were jarring and wrapped up in a hurry. The family dynamics and sweet banter were very entertaining,

decent but just like the first venom movie it felt kinda cheaply made and disney went against their contract with scarlet Johansen..... not cool disney... not cool at all
