A filmről

BLACK AND BLUE is a fast-paced action thriller about a rookie cop (Academy Award® nominee Naomie Harris: Best Supporting Actress, Moonlight, 2016) who inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realizing that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her (Tyrese Gibson) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.

This movie was horrible!!! I do not understand how this movie got above a 2.0 community rating. Do not trust this rating. This movie, Black & Blue was super predictable and - to put it simply - the story line was just bad. The acting was super cringe worthy. This movie was overly dramatic and tried entirely too hard at whatever its point was. "Black woman cop witnessing corruption with her black and white male counterparts" could have been a good movie but the writing and story flow was just so bad. I could not keep cringe off of my face when watching this movie. 0/10 I do not recommend. Do not watch this movie if you want to keep your face from wrinkling every five seconds.

Harris holds it all together with her nuanced performance. The cinematography sets a somber tone with its bleak settings. Tyrese Gibson is a breath of fresh air, taking on a meatier role than his usual action fare. Worth a look. 👍🏾📽

i was not sure about watching this movie, but now I am. Just stirring hate among blacks and whites. As if all white cops are bad, and only black people do what is right when it comes to keeping law. Guess we are still letting Hollywood divide us. Disappointing movie.
