Iron Jawed Angels director Katja von Garnier and the producers of Underworld team to adapt author Annette Curtis Klause's tale of a teenage werewolf who must choose between love and loyalty to the pack when she falls for a handsome young human. Vivian Gandillon (Agnes Bruckner) is a 19-year-old girl living in modern-day Bucharest. After spending her entire life running from the truth, Vivian is forced to come to terms with her lycanthropic origins when her growing affections for a visiting American artist threaten to reveal her family's dark secret. For centuries, Vivian's family has been involved with an ancient secret society. I fell in love with the novel and was surprise they actually had a movie. Saw it and they change the entire storyline. Horrible, the book was so much better. If I hadn't of read the book and saw this, I'd probably think it was alright but nope. Horrible, they should have just changed the title and everything.

She gave up her home, her traditions, her heritage and betrayed her family for some floppy haired Romeo with no respect for anything? Seriously. Are we not done making these kinds of movies? Ugh. Could have had a beautiful story if they had actually bothered to write a main female character with some dignity.

This movie has nothing in common with the book other than the names of the characters and the title. I was so disappointed in this film adaptation of one of my favorite books. By itself, the movie wasn't half bad but kinda mediocre and predictable for a paranormal romance. This was not even similar to the Blood and Chocolate book that I read but a totally different story.
