About this movie

Bill and Ashely DiAngelo have it all, an overseas posting to Singapore, life in paradise and a new baby on the way. But tragedy strikes when Ashley suffers a miscarriage and sinks into a deep depression. Ashley decides that the only way for her to "be" with her miscarried child is to resort to the South East Asian occult practice of raising her own "ghost child". In an effort to put the tragic events behind them, the couple returns home to Minnesota to start their lives over. Several months after their return, Ashley and Bill find themselves pregnant again. However, their happiness is short lived as the pregnancy acts as a catalyst for a series of terrifying events that start to occur within the DiAngelo's home. The family soon learns that Ashley has brought back a lot more than just memories from Asia. Ashley's first [un]born is not about to play second fiddle to the impending new arrival, and unleashes an unspeakable evil upon the household

The storyline was really good and I found the film very intriguing. This is the sort of film for those who are looking for good old fashioned horror movie storytelling in the vein of the classics. The film proved to be a refreshing change to what is out in the market today. The best part is that it is based on occult practices that I have never come across in films. I was expecting a bad film after reading the previous review but was pleasantly surprised when I watched it. The standout actor in this film was undoubtedly was the maid Siti. Overall a good indie film.

Interesting premise and a solid small indie movie. I went into this film with mixed feeling because of the polar opinions. But I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. If you are expecting The Conjuring or The Nun then this isn't the film for you. But if you are in the mood for something different that is built on a good storytelling and introducing us to the world of Asian occultism then this is a film worth watching. This is just my 2 cents but I'm glad I saw it.

The storyline is intriguing but the flat, wooden acting makes it practically unwatchable .
