Amazing film, great movie. Not even in the same league as "Tears of the Sun" which was a joke when side by side with this. It does however bring to mind some others that are great and WAY BETTER & REALISTIC then "Tears" They are as follows, in order of those I like best first, though they all are great with 4 stars or more... First up, "Sometimes in April" about the genocide in Rwanda during 1994 from April till July in which 800,000 to 1,000,000 Tutsi were killed by the Hutu majority. Second would be "Hotel Rwanda" then I suggest "The Last King of Scotland" and lastly "Shooting Dogs/Beyond the Gates" all those listed deal with various genocides/killings in Africa.

Great Film, tragic in the details of what is happening to the native people of the land for profit for industrialized nations. Leonardo Dicaprio, Djimon Hounsou and Jennifer Connelly give good performances. Editing and pacing are overall well done and some of the landscapes are captured beautifully. Dicaprio's final scene is a bit long but otherwise well done and the ending is memorable if not original. Initially I wasn't going to give the film five star because it kept reminding me of Tears of the Sun, which I believe is a better film overall, but giving credit to the film without comparisons made me realize that it is worthy of the rating.

Before you head out and buy that wedding AND anniversary rock, better watch this film. WHEREVER you buy a diamond, you're supporting modern day slavery overseas. Don't believe me??? Simply watch this film and it's not boring, ladies & gentlemen, it's the TRUTH and it's worth DOUBLE the admission...Folks, do the homework BEFORE you diamond shop and MAKE SURE you DON'T support slavery. Let's abolish human rights violation! ! !
