As the National Hair Championships descend upon a small town in England, the country's top stylists aren't expecting much from the local talent. But they didn't count on Phil Allen (Rickman), the retired golden boy of the competition circuit, entering the fray! It hits those Feel Good notes, an airy, light movie whose added appeal comes from it being made in early 2000s, which now feels dated (god I'm old...). Don't think too much on this film and you'll enjoy yourself.

Good script, good actors and good movie. Is not pretentious nor overblown (no pun intended). Enjoyable without being preachy. Many characterizations are spot on and of that world. Whether a small town or big city everyone wants to win. Relatable and funny.
