Over 66 days, Bobby Sands' hunger strike caused a ripple effect across the globe. Telling the factual story of Sands' life for the first time, this unique film sets out how he became the architect of his own destiny and describes how his own personal story became overshadowed by his death, as he ascended into the ranks of international icon status. As a Irish citizen in 2018 but the day of 1981 will never forget I cried so much then for Bobby sands and the 9 hunger strikers after Bobby..how many died to ask for 5 concessions on human rights..writing letters to home ..receiving visits .Not wearing the prison clothing. and lastly to be recognised as a political prisoner. these men before 10 hunger strikers there was 1916 leaders who were murdered by SAS firing squad .who only crime was Irish unity a united Ireland..SEE32TAL HEROS YOU ARE 32
