Eight years have passed since Martin Ward and David Bouchard met in a spectacular way on the Quebec/Ontario border. The two men have remained friends, but time takes its toll and they have not spoken in almost a year. In this second chapter, Ward and Bouchard must face an important car theft ring that turns out to be a lot more than they bargained for. Enemies will prove to be the ones we did not expect and Ward and Bouchard will discover that life goes on and lots of things change, while some just… remain the same.

I saw the first movie twice in the theatre. Not the fancy one with the soft, reclining seats but the century old, moldy one that screened only ones the big screen passed on. The audience laughed so hard that many left without a voice. I returned the next night to watch it with family members and I saw many of the same people in the audience. The line echoed with the veterans assuring the dubious 'just trust me, you have not seen a more Canadian film.' It slipped into fond memory until Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 was announced. We shifted our reunion to attend it opening night, my family traveled from three provinces and we paid for tickets in advance. We sat there, eager and with high expectations. It did not disappoint. There was more drama in this one, but the laughs were still there. We went again the next night because we had laughed so hard we missed the dialogue. It was not just a retreading of the previous plot, which I admit was a concern. Most movies I will watch alone but both of the Bon Cops I recommend sharing with friends and family.

Richard Simon Kaylie, what you need to understand, is that this film (as well as is the first one) was entirely written by french-canadian comedian Patrick Huard (who also plays the french cop by the way)! He purposely written it in both languages, even though he initially intended it to only be released in Quebec, but it was the film company who insisted to release to the rest of Canada!

c'est un très bon film,avec des scènes tournées dans les Cantons de L' Est,à Danville, comté de Richmondet aussi à Richmond.Ces deux villes,j'y ai passées 21 ans de ma vie, elles sont chers à mon coeur...
