Set in 1977, back when sex was safe, pleasure was a business and business was booming, idealistic porn producer Jack Horner aspires to elevate his craft to an art form. Horner discovers Eddie Adams, a hot young talent working as a busboy in a nightclub, and welcomes him into the extended family of movie-makers, misfits and hangers-on that are always around. Adams' rise from nobody to a celebrity adult entertainer is meteoric, and soon the whole world seems to know his porn alter ego, "Dirk Diggler." Time machine with adult results. This movie does great give a great insight into the adult industry during the mid seventies and early eighties. But it's also about a boy in a man's body who lacks the maturity to grow up in a normal environment, if it is such a thing. Great performances from Burt Reynolds and Julianne Moore. Mark Wahlberg does shine with the boyish charm yet immature swag.

I truly understand what the People of SEXUAL ENTERTAINMENT goes on. If I was in Adult Entertainer I'll save the $$$ on Saving & Bonds also making a GOOD PORTFOLIO for myself !

Amazing cast, clothing/wardrobe, acting was all, spot on, groovy, terrific drama with funny blended classic late 70's, early 80's themed film. A must watch.
