Born to Be Blue is not a traditional biopic but a reimagining of jazz trumpeter Chet Baker's life in the 60's. When Chet stars in a film about himself, a romance heats up with the female lead, the enigmatic Jane. Production is shelved when Chet's past comes back to haunt him and it appears he may never play music again.

great movie but sad they picked worse time of bakers life.. he was so much more than his addiction.. they completely dont understand addiction either.. you don't choose it.. it chooses you he never made the emotional and mental changes needed to stay straight you cant smoke pot and drink and keep avoiding the inner demons and hope to stay straight.. I'm a addict and qualified to say this unfortunately just another sensationalist flick drawing us in to look at the dark side of another of musics greats and their crash and burn
