Just plain amazing. the performance of the actors made me hate/like them. A roller coaster of emotions. I'm appalled that conversion therapy is even a thing. How do mankind come up with things to control others. This movie is a great representation of this man made ridiculous treatment. If you don't believe in Ghost because you ain't seen one, then you shouldn't believe in God either. Amen. Great movie.

my friend met the author of the original autobiographical book at a showing of disobedience, and reading his account was absolutely heartbreaking. watching the movie the first, in a crowded plane, had me absolutely sobbing. being a closeted gay teen and seeing this play out before your very eyes awakens an intense fear; this sort of absolute rejection is every lgbt person's worst fear. the movie is a masterpiece and I could not be more thankful to the author for sharing his harrowing experience.

Currently conversion therapy is STILL legal is most states. This movie highlights what happens behind closed doors of these "camps". It's a story unfortunately many can relate too. Being shamed for who you who love is horrible. As a person from the LGBTQ+ community, thank you for showing your're not wrong but beautiful through and through . Highly recommend.
