BOYZ N THE HOOD is the critically acclaimed story of three friends growing up in a South Central Los Angeles neighborhood. I liked this film because of the the ethnic challenges set in front of the father Furious Styles (Fishburne) and the raising of his son in the backdrop of racism from the LAPD, the destruction of young black men by gangs and their fighting over drugs everyday and lastly the multitude of challenges set in front of Tre Styles (Gooding Jr) and the bonds of Friendship, Sorrow, Fear, Sex, Ambition and Crime for a young black man growing up on the right side of the tracks under his fathers tutelage and discipline. Sublime Hood Drama FACT: Ice Cubes 1st Major Acting Role

Never seen it before until now. Must say its a brilliant movie.
