About this movie

Two months before being crowned Miss World in 1998, Israeli beauty queen Linor Abargil was abducted and raped in Milan, Italy. Ten years later, she's ready to talk about it. Now a globetrotting victims' advocate, Linor encourages others to stand against sexual violence by putting an end to their silence. She travels to speak with teens in South Africa, where girls are statistically more likely to be raped than educated. For victims of sexual assault, the journey toward wholeness never ends; still, Linor Abargil, the BRAVE MISS WORLD, continues her unflinching efforts to keep the nightmares at bay.

Beautiful, inspirational, courageous, providing a true sense of hope. This film changed my life, and I have yet to speak to a family member or friend who has seen it who doesn't agree wholeheartedly. I was present at a screening of the film in Utah, and was a witness to how it impacted the entire audience through their questions and interactions with the director, Cecilia Peck in the Q&A.
