Set against the twinkling lights of West Hollywood, Breaking Fast is a romantic comedy that follows Mo, a practicing Muslim, still reeling from heartbreak. When an All-American guy named Kal offers to join him in his nightly Iftars (the traditional meal eaten by Muslims during Ramadan), meal after meal, the two start to discover they have more in common than meets the eye.

OMG this movie was HORRIBLE. I was so upset I paid to watch this. How does the same writer/director who wrote the short film called "Breaking Fast" supposedly level up to a full length feature of his own story and so royally mess it up? I appreciate that Haaz Sleiman is a member of the LGBTQ community playing a gay man but his co-star isn't. The actors in the original short had actual chemistry, these two don't. I can't believe how the same filmmaker absolutely ruined his own film when making it into a feature; he was supposed to improve upon his original work, not destroy it. Watch the far superior short film and skip this train wreck of a film.

I really loved this movie. It tells the often unheard story of a gay Muslim. It gives you some insight into Muslim culture while also showing the commonality we all share. I fell in love with many of the supporting characters.

Good story line and great acting, I love Michael Cassidy ever since I seen him in the short movie Dare, I loved how the characters grew as they the two of them grew closer and finally falling in love!
