The inspirational true story of Brian Banks (Aldis Hodge), an All-American high school football star committed to USC who finds his life upended when he is wrongly convicted of a crime he didn't commit. Years later, with the support of Justin Brooks (Greg Kinnear) and the California Innocence Project, Banks fights to reclaim his life and fulfill his dreams of playing in the NFL.

You can definitely feel his pain as dreams are shattered upon a false accusation, and the acting is great. Very resilient too. Liked the Jerome Johnson quote, "All you can control in life...is how you respond to life." Morgan Freeman's distraction-free speech about prison is quite inspirational. We all have things, and sometimes what we don't have gives us opportunities to live differently, for better or worse, opening new doorways. Even better is how I won't spoil the motivation of the woman who lied about rape, as well as how a plea deal can go horribly wrong when a 16 year old child is tried as an adult in a racist system.

I loved it! I can relate. I was in incarcerated for a year and they were trying to put me in for 10 years. I am still trying to get exonerated. Its so true that the system could care less about the truth, and my PO was as bad as this one if not worse. I haven't been able to accomplish my dream yet but TBH I don't know what that is. I think I want peace with my false accusers. ..I am an engineer right now but at first I wanted to do music. I just get used to doing everything that everyone else wants me to do. I do admired this man's courage though, I get so sick and tired of people telling me what I can and can't do. I am glad he got his freedom. I want to learn how to fly an airplane and do all kinds of things but what he said is the same conclusion I had. My accomplishments don't define who I am and my accusers were all the worse to show theirs, when our life should be defined in Jesus not our own accomplishments or how the world sees us. God is not a respecter of persons.

There Seems to be a few ignorant, jealous and prejudiced people on this app. You people who write negative and racist statements about any movie who's leading characters are mostly dark skinned. Its really awsome though that you find dark skinned people so fascinating and special! You watch these movies knowing that the stories are about dark skinned people! When I know the movie is about you, I dont even watch the movie!!
