From the producer of Superbad, Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin comes the breakout comedy critics are calling "brazenly hysterical!" (Alynda Wheat, People) Thirty-something Annie (Kristen Wiig) has hit a rough patch but finds her life turned completely upside down when she takes on the Maid of Honor role in her best friend Lillian's (Maya Rudolph) wedding. In way over her head but determined to succeed, Annie leads a hilarious hodgepodge of bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to the big event.

When the main character in a movie is an unlikeable jerk it is hard to root for them. I usually like Wiig but this movie just wastes her talent and you hope her character ends up alone and sad in the end. With the same director and partial cast in the new Ghostbusters film I am not optimistic if will be good. :(

I was told this was the female version of "The Hangover." They couldn't have been more wrong. If you are looking for well timed whitty jokes, move on. If you're looking for long drawn out set up for a weak punchline, this is the movie for you!

This is NOT the female-version of "The Hangover." Nor is it a chick flick. It wasn't a bad movie, but it lost focus about 2/3 through and never recovered. The ending was a deus ex. That is to say, there was no reason for the conflict resolution, it just happened without real explanation. Mildly enjoyable.
