I really liked the concept, but imo, its just too 'shallow'. All throughout the movie I was craving more details! and it just seemed as though they were building to something that would let you in, but it never really does. Some scenes were very 'nice' but again, it just left too much to the imagination for me. Unless we get sequels, with more detail, then in that case, I would reject my previous negative comments, and rate it 4 out of 5 stars instead. Lol

This film draws its strength in part from its willingness to be a more humbly scaled operation than the tentpoles weighted down by mandates for billion-dollar grosses. The film lacks originality, but is a fairly well-done B-move. SPOILER WARNING: I'm just excited for this "new superhero-horror cinematic universe" that they're building here as revealed in a mid-credits scene. So James Gunn, please make a sequel, we really need to see more.

I really liked the movie and I would like to see more of this style of genre. Personally I think they could have built the characters up more and expanded on the part of the story about him as he begins "taking over the world". As he realizes his goal to become a supreme predator, it might have been good seeing the story go further into it and seeing an epic apocalyptic scale end to his mayhem but they did pretty good all the same.
