About this movie

In this funny valentine to love 1990's style, three wide-eyed college grads score a great apartment in Greenwich Village and set out to take New York by storm. Laughing in the face of cynicism, Marc dreams of that big Broadway break, songwriter Robert dreams of Marc while the deliciously delusional Cynthia stalks her dream employer with nothing to recommend her except for a blank resume and the ability to accessorize. But when sexy neighbor David enters the picture, the harsh realities of life, love and career test their incorrigible optimism in this gay romantic comedy classic. A festival favorite, "Broadway Damage" is the winner of the Outfest Audience Award.

The mise-en-scene in parts seemed a tad sloppy, but I am sure it was mostly due to budget constraints. Some dramatic choices felt also very first draft. The acting was not always on point, but not as bad as some might have suggested. All negative remarks aside, this movie still possesses an intrinsic charm that transcends its lack of originality and faults, providing a fun viewing experience nonetheless. The three leads juggled more than one line of bad dialogue, and managed to escape mostly unharmed. Kudos to the casting director.

This is truly a wonderful movie. I just can't seem to get enough of it. While it is somewhat slow and predictable, it makes up with a beautiful message. I do have to mention that some people seem not to like the acting. I love it though.

Movie suffered from a weak script and slow pace.
