In 1974, a misguided 19-year-old named Michael Peterson decided he wanted to make a name for himself, and so with a homemade sawn-off shotgun and a head full of dreams, he attempted to rob a post office. Swiftly apprehended and originally sentenced to seven years in jail, Peterson has subsequently been behind bars for 34 years, 30 of which have been spent in solitary confinement. Provocative and stylized, BRONSON follows the metamorphosis of Mickey Peterson, who gave himself the nickname Charles Bronson, from a petty thief into Britain's most dangerous prisoner. Ce film se veut "biographique", puisqu'il traite d'un sujet réel : Charles Bronson. Cependant, tout en reconnaissant l'excellent jeu d'acteur de Tom Hardy, je trouve que c'est plus un "théâtre d'horreur" qu'un film biographique. Le seul moment du film ou j'ai eu le sentiment de recevoir un fait historique est l'épilogue du film, quand on peut lire : "... il a passé 34 ans en prison, dont 30 en réclusion solitaire". Pour le reste, le délire psychotique est indistinguable du récit historique. On peut être un amateur de ce genre cinématographique...ce n'est pas mon cas.

Meh, not Brady's best work. Still good for a watch.

One of my favorite movies. Tom Hardy is unbelievably good.
