Cybertron padl. Bumblebee, kterého Optimus Prime vyšle bránit Zemi, tak stane na počátku cesty stát se hrdinou. Dospívající Charlie Watsonová (Hailee Steinfeldová), která hledá své místo ve světě, objeví a opraví bojem poničeného robota maskovaného jako Volkswagen Brouk. Zatímco Deceptikoni s pomocí tajné agentury vedené agentem Burnsem (John Cena) loví přeživší Autoboty, Bumblebee a Charlie spojí své síly, aby zachránili svět, v akčními scénami nabitém dobrodružství, které pobaví celou rodinu.

worst transformers movie ever... they turned bumblebee into a scared and beaten dog that becomes a child's friend... all he does is cower and curl up into a ball... the most demoralizing movie ive ever watched...

Ok. First of all on the cybertron scene since they are all aliens on an alien planet shouldnt they be speaking an alien language and use subtitle so we can see what they are saying? They did it in the movie star kid! You didnt think about that huh travis knight?

What a relief this is from some of Bay's work, though I do respect some it, especially the third film. In this one there isn't any really weird dialogue, the filming style is better, there is beautiful character development, and is quite fun. There is gross humor a bit and one of the main boys without thinking uses the word retarded, and that definitely is offensive to people with disabilities, but this is still a relief of a film.
