This is one of those hidden gems. It doesn't feel like there's much special to it, but if you like martial arts and some noir storytelling (I think that's what I want to call it, anyway), this will be enjoyable. I find myself coming back to it once every year or two; definitely a guilty pleasure. The two primary protagonists, the bartender, the two primary antagonists, and the antagonist's lady are all terrific.

Honestly, one of the most underrated movies ever. On the off chance you're on the fence, looking at reviews to try and make the call and you see this: it is an action movie, but it's not your typical action movie. It's a western, but only sorta. It's theater and origami and video games noir and musicals and mafia and . . . it's a lot, which it manages without being a mess. If a melange like that sounds like it'd be up your alley, you should give it a shot. If style can overwhelm you, maybe not.

I'm a bit of an action fan and after watching this, I'm impressed by how it all was shot throughout the movie, especially the fight scene towards the end with the non stop boxing match!
