Academy Award-winning superstar Whoopi Goldberg ("Sister Act," "Ghost") is the owner of a San Francisco bookstore who leads a secret life -- bookseller by day, thief by night. This audience-pleasing action-comedy is directed by Hugh Wilson ("Police Academy," TV's "WKRP") and based on a series of novels by Edgar-winning mystery author Lawrence Block.
