Inspired by the stories of Booth Tarkington ("The Magnificent Ambersons," "Alice Adams") and set at the end of WWI, it captures the travails of a returning soldier and his fiancee as family complications delay their inevitable wedding. Prequel to "On Moonlight Bay."
