Five college friends head off to the woods for a weekend of drinking, partying and fooling around. But as they sit at their campfire the first night, a blood-soaked hermit approaches them. He appears to have been infected with a flesh-eating bacterial virus, and as the hapless kids start to catch the bug, paranoia and hostility run rampant.

Eli Roth is textbook example of a terrible director who may love horror movies but who can't make a decent one to save his life!!! Cabin Fever, Hostel, and Green Inferno all prove he is all about the gross out and disgusting but incapable of providing real scares or feelings of true terror!!!

Had this been released in 1985 or so, it would be pure genius, but as it stands? Meh. Watching this movie is like watching captive chimpanzees pretend to shave like a human. Interesting for a fleeting moment, and then it is just bad actors aping what would actually be quite a terrifying experience, yet doing nonsensical things that merely advance plot points. In a post-Evil Dead moviescape, this would have worked better as an homage.

This movie almost made me want throw up! Rider Strong played a good role in the hit 90's sitcom, "Boy Meets World". But this movie FAILED, The ending was kinda weird...
