Desde que os moradores se lembram, os projetos habitacionais do bairro Cabrini Green em Chicago eram aterrorizados por um assassino sobrenatural. Agora, o artista visual Anthony McCoy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) e sua namorada (Teyonah Parris) mudam-se para um condomínio de luxo em Cabrini. Um encontro com um antigo morador de Cabrini (Colman Domingo) expõe Anthony à verdadeira história por trás de Candyman e desencadeia uma onda de violência que o coloca em rota de colisão com o destino.

SPOILERS I walked out after 45 minutes of watching it in the cinema. I decided to watch it again. This movie looks good, the dialogue is mostly good, but the main protagonist is boring, even the twist at the end doesn't make his character interesting. The reason we are giving why it's all happening is really weak. Luckily this movie is short in length.

I rented this and then purchased to watch a few times. This is nowhere near as good as the original, but it was an interesting take. It was great to see Nathan in this, from Misfits. The actors were really good and I do like how they tried to incorporate the original story. I wasn't blown away by this though.

Awful. The original was brilliant and scary. This is just slow, boring, and the candyman is hardly seen. It's also way too political and plainly anti police. Rubbish.
