People who put 1 star simply don't understand the meaning of how black communities are affected by others. Introducing different storylines to Candyman make it more relevant to every stage how they've suffered from discrimination/police brutality in real life. the director not showing the close up stabbings allowed me to insert my own idea of fear and created a story that makes you want Candyman's legend to live on. Candyman protects the black communities from all who don't believe what happened

Part one/the original is better but this is pretty thoughtful. It is well made, a couple creepy and gory bits, - but for me this moved slow especially during the first half and this is only a 90 minute movie. There is more than a nod to the first so you can say it is a sequel and it just kinda moves along like a remake with little happening. Maybe I need to see the first and this again

Loved the original films but this one missed it on almost every mark. The only thing scary about this version was how freaking awful it was. The original was one of the most terrifying movies I watched as a kid. 2021 is almost a slap in the face to the original.....b-b-b-b-boring
