At the age of 47, following nearly a decade of imprisonment, dementia rots Capone's mind and his past becomes present as harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life.

What a waste of a movie I was so excited to see a movie about Al Capone I am not saying he was a nice guy but had a very interesting life. The amount of money spent on this movie would have much better gone to showing a movie on his rise to power and eventual legal troubles through the 20s and 30s. Worse even the trailer showing many scenes of violence making it look like it does show scenes from his gangster life in Chicago. Instead they make a complete mockery of the last year of his life. The guy was a POS but he had some pretty interesting stories during prohibition I think the efforts put into this movie would have been much better used there. I guess I will have to wait another 10-20 years to see a good movie on Al Capone.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. so much so that ive bought it through google play just to watch it again. Tom Hardy does an amazing job portraying the end days of Capone, and folks without an imagination will find this movie hard to follow, and without Hardy, this movie would have been terrible.

I really wanted to like this film. But, the problem I have with the film is it doesn't feel like it even needed to be made. Personally, I'm not all that interested in watching someone disintegrate, no matter who it is.
