After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. With Netflix's Daredevil (/Punisher), Jessica Jones showcasing the awesome darker side of Marvel... I'm struggling to swallow these overblown movies. Didn't even finish this one. And if I have to see Iron Man in another bl**dy film... Argh. I'm off to read about the upcoming Punisher season... Now that's something to get excited about!

Cap is a drip, no doubt, in all the stories he is the weak link, but annoyingly it's kind of appealing. This time they've got it right, beefed up the physicality and written a plot. Then they go and properly balls it up in the bunker, which they just blow up ... pathetic! The Bucky thing is irrelevant and the ending a shite OTT Star Trek rip off - crash the ship x3. This is by far, the second best Marvel so far just behind Dark World! Well done, but I should write the endings!

Best captain america, wasn't massively impressed with the first avenger but I love this one, it has some great action and the story is pretty good and the acting is quite good but it's never really impressive. But this is a movie that I love to sit and watch over and over again. A popcorn pleasure.
