After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. With Netflix's Daredevil (/Punisher), Jessica Jones showcasing the awesome darker side of Marvel... I'm struggling to swallow these overblown movies. Didn't even finish this one. And if I have to see Iron Man in another bl**dy film... Argh. I'm off to read about the upcoming Punisher season... Now that's something to get excited about!

Cap is a drip, no doubt, in all the stories he is the weak link, but annoyingly it's kind of appealing. This time they've got it right, beefed up the physicality and written a plot. Then they go and properly balls it up in the bunker, which they just blow up ... pathetic! The Bucky thing is irrelevant and the ending a shite OTT Star Trek rip off - crash the ship x3. This is by far, the second best Marvel so far just behind Dark World! Well done, but I should write the endings!

Best captain america, wasn't massively impressed with the first avenger but I love this one, it has some great action and the story is pretty good and the acting is quite good but it's never really impressive. But this is a movie that I love to sit and watch over and over again. A popcorn pleasure.
