In an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s seminal novel The Price of Salt, CAROL follows two women from very different backgrounds who find themselves in an unexpected love affair in 1950s New York. As conventional norms of the time challenge their undeniable attraction, an honest story emerges to reveal the resilience of the heart in the face of change.

Je me suis fait recommander ce film par une de mes amies et je ne regrette aucunement de l'avoir écouter. Ce film est un vrai chef d'oeuvre et c'est beau à regarder. On peut constater le développement de la relation entre Thérèse et Carol, il démontre la difficulter de s'afficher avec des gens du même sexe dans le courant des années 1950 puis de développer une relation intime avec une personne, psychologiquement et physiquement. Ce film vaut la peine d'être vu!

I enjoyed CAROL ,the movie. The writers and directors achievement to open the movie goers eyes with diversity and we as a society have changed from that era( Carol ) to now..Great movie.Ive watched it 3 times..BRAVO,on the casting,the two main actors were super,I wished Cate Blanchett the Oscar that year.

I loved this movie. The realistic settings ... the portral of the conflicts involved in being true to oneself. Beautifully acted.
