Stephen King's Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) is a lonely, withdrawn high-school student who is the object of ridicule because of her drabness and because of the influence of her mother (Piper Laurie)--a religious zealot who has kept her in the dark about all things feminine. When Carrie experiences her first period in the gym shower, she is teased and humiliated. Threatened with expulsion from the upcoming prom, the girls' ringleader (Amy Irving) devises a plan: Amy's boyfriend (William Katt) will pretend to court Carrie and then Carrie will be elected Prom Queen. At the prom, Amy and her cohorts (including John Travolta) drop a rigged bucket of pig's blood on Carrie. Carrie's kinetic powers are now unleashed in one of the screen's most-celebrated depictions of merciless and unstoppable fury.

Ratings and reviews

This movie is a old classic horror movie. Some of Stephen King's best work. I think that it is a great movie for people that are not into or this is there first horror movie. I personal don't think it's scary, there is a good amount of violence forwards the end and some other things that make it an R movie in the beginning and throught it and lots of language, but all in all a great classic movie and I can't wait to see the new Carrie!!!!! A classic Brian De Palma film! Carrie is absolutely one of my favorite Stephen King novels of all time! Sissy Spacek is fantastic as Carrie White, a shy outcast girl with telekinetic powers and she is constantly bullied by her peers and abused by her overly crazy religious mother, Margaret White. Everyone should know the story by now so I can't explain it much! A classic! Movie rating: 4.5/5 stars

Oh boy, hey I new a girl named carrie in middle school, I wanted to date her so I can see if she too was magical, oh and the film is good, go watch the film, this is a total buy it ages real good so replaying this and showing your friends family this will be a gay o time for every one.
