I love this one mainly because of how accurate it is to the novel. A lot of stuff was added into this adaption like the book had and that's the biggest reason I liked it. As for the filming technique I did not like...it looked like half found footage and half regular movie. The camera was shaky and the picture looked documentary like. And the graphics were CGI-ed to death. I mean I know it's made for TV and all but come on now. The acting was mediocre, at times I thoughts most of the actors were over the top. But Angela Bettis was great, she played a good Carrie and was totally believable. This film is good and bad but worth a watch if you're a big Carrie fan like me.

This was the first rendition of Stephen King's Carrie I ever saw, late at night, when I was about eight when I was supposed to be asleep and my personal favourite although I can understand the originals praise. I went through some very similar trails as Carrie does in school so I really connected to the story. I too was an outcast, considered the lowest of the low. Except I never had her powers or got that awful prank. I did find it interesting that the boyfriend was the aggressor unlike the original.

This adapation delivers in strange, good ways. It adds more from the book, has a good prom attack scene, but also has the strangest visual effects. The performance of Angela Bettis is really good and very human, you can feel her in this. The ending well that's a suprise! So it's a rather odd but decent adapation.
