Sobre este filme

Hotshot race car Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is living life in the fast lane - until he hits a detour and gets stranded in Radiator Springs, a forgotten town on Route 66. There he meets Sally, Mater, Doc Hudson (Paul Newman) and a heap of hilarious characters who help him discover there's more to life than trophies and fame.

Pixar has been known for taking stuff that's not human, and making it more human. We've seen Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Inside Out, and plenty of others, almost all Pixar movies rely on humanized things. Cars is another one of these examples, but it just doesn't live up to its predecessors. I think the idea is smart, but it also feels too childish, seeing as all Pixar movies are designed to be for the entire family. Also, the plot"s pretty simple: There's a hot shot rookie car who gets lost, and is stuck repairing a road he destroyed in a small town called Radiator Springs, and he makes new friends and learns life's about the journey, not the finish line. It's okay for a plot, but it makes the movie move very slowly, and after 30 minutes, its pretty boring. There's no good vs. evil, so I was basically just twiddling my thumbs, waiting til there was some (rare) excitement. It's fine to watch if your kids want to watch it, but it's not something I would just grab and pop into the laptop on a long plane flight by myself.

Just a simple, feel good movie about the importance of choosing your friends over fame. I loved this the 1st time I watched it when it came out (went to see it with a friend at the movies at 19) and I love it now. Waiting for my little guy to be old enough so we can watch it together as a family one day. In the meantime, I'll keep loving it as my life continues to become more simple and down-to-earth and precious. Life is what you make it. I appreciate & value this theme as it continues forward.

I grew up with this! It has a don't always live life in the fast lane slow down and take time to enjoy life message. Not everything has to be a race. I like the growing up story the series has. Were McQueen is this cocky 18 or 19 year old rookie and he learns to be humble and learns humility. Pal Newman (Doc Hudson) sadly passed away in 2008. And seeing Doc go from resenting Lightning to forming a type of father figure bond with McQueen was really heart warming.
