Very fun, fast, and entertaining movie treatment of a very fun, fast, and entertaining musical. The actors/singers do a great job of putting on their musical hats, and the use of edits makes for a startling jaunt into "theatre-on-screen." A somewhat strange pick for the Best Picture Oscar it won, it nevertheless holds up as a great translation of a great Broadway hit.

One of the best musical film adaptions i have ever seen. For most of the musical numbers it cuts back and forth to what's actually happening and to the song and dance version of what's happening, and this is because of how Roxie--the protagonist--is imagining it all. She's so obsessed with becoming a singer-dancer sensation that she sees everything in big, flashy musical numbers. The cinematography is magnificent, the singers are AMAZING. They picked actual theatre actresses so it's just a wicked fun time.

One of the best transitions ever made from the theatre to the movie screen! The movie is spectacular in its own right, winning 6 Academy Awards! What makes it an "Extraordinary Must Watch", is the unexpected array of talents each actor and actress perform to perfection! All of the performers stepped outside their usual star attributes and roles, and surprised the movie audience with their many wonderful, gifted talents each posses! Who knew? Their hard work and diligence paid off!
