The lack of scatological humour that American comedy relies upon is a great relief for anyone looking for a family film full of hen-brained antics and a quest for freedom. Suggestion: order pizza or have burgers when you watch it. Kids will rebel against KFC or chicken pot pies.

Although it really is a good movie, I always wondered why the hens had no feelings for their eggs; giving them away in order to survive, as payment for trinkets, as weapons, seeing them bite it by the dozens... I"m sure abortion is not an issue in this universe lol.

Stealing plot points (err maybe overstating it) from the movie The Great Escape, this is an entertaining family movie which is a great laugh and something silly to just simply enjoy.
