Om den här filmen

CHURCHILL follows Britain's iconic Prime Minister Winston Churchill in the days before the infamous D-Day landings in June 1944. As allied forces stand on the south coast of Britain, poised to invade Nazi-occupied Europe, they await Churchill's decision on whether the invasion will actually move ahead. Fearful of repeating his mistakes from World War I on the beaches of Gallipoli, exhausted by years of war, plagued by depression and obsessed with fulfilling historical greatness, Churchill is also faced with constant criticism from his political opponents; General Eisenhower and Field Marshal Montgomery. Only the unflinching support of Churchill's brilliant, unflappable wife Clementine can halt the Prime Minister's physical and mental collapse and help lead him to greatness. 2016 SALON CHURCHILL LIMITED

The dialogue is stilted and struggles to keep you interested. Also it's not a particularly accurate account of Churchills personality & motivation. Nobody is meant to speak poorly of the 'great man.' But it's well documented & proven that he was considerably more flawed, often downright nasty & prone to bigotry.Movie was just ok , I wouldn't recommend it to anyone .

If you are determined to watch this, knock yourself out. I'd strongly suggest waiting for the Oldman version, covering events 4 years earlier. Suffice it to say, when the (then) General Montgomery calls the PM "Churchill" to his face, we've long departed the lands known as Plausible.

This movie had some engaging moments; however overall I found it lacking. The acting was passable, but not memorable. I also personally found the use of bad language unnecessary, and not what I would expect from a PG rated movie.
