What happens when three ordinary guys spend two weeks learning how to be real-life cowboys? That's the question (and the fun) in City Slickers, the biggest box office comedy of 1991. Starring Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern and Bruno Kirby, the movie also earned an Academy Award for Jack Palance as Curly, the grizzled trail guide who knows the secret of life (spoiler alert: it's just "one thing.") So saddle up, hit the trail and come along for "the rowdiest western jokefest since Blazing Saddles" (Rolling Stone). Sharp-eyed viewers will also spot 10-year-old Jake Gyllenhaal, in his big screen debut, as Crystal's son.

I was skeptical but the wife convinced me to give it a shot. It's funny and guanine at the same time. Good dialogue, good characters, and one of the better portrayals of genuine friendship and camaraderie. Good times.

For me, this is my favorite Billy Crystal movie. This, even over princess bride! Albeit, I love princess bride, but Billy's the main character in City Slickers. Ergo, favorite Billy Crystal movie! The running of the bull bit is the bestest! Just a timeless piece of comedy! This movie will never get old! Watch it now!

At first I didn't want to watch this movie, but then I didn't have anything else to do, so I just went for it and you know what, if it weren't for that moment of boredom I had, I would of missed out in a great movie..♡♡《😊》
