Beautiful weather, women and scenery – things people typically associate with Brazil. Now imagine that world with guns, drugs, lunatics (one in particular) and poverty. Welcome to Rio's City of God! While most will ignore the movie’s critique and presentation of socio-economic inequality, they will still find an outstandingly written film with great dialogue, an engaging story, superb acting and a great soundtrack.

Now that you know my password hint, I just wanted to say that Lil Ze is the greatest character of all time. Absolutely ruthless yet humanized almost to the point of endearment. All the characters are well developed and tell a great story. Gritty gangster drama straight from the favela known as Rio's Cidade de Deus (City of God). Storytelling masterpiece.
