The animation is an insult to the Sony Pictures Animation Studios, unless they truly believe that THAT is the best they can do. In which case, I retract my previous statement, and replace it with this one: go back to film school. The gaps in the plot were great enough to trap even Baby Brent, (which is truly a feat) and just over all execution was sloppy. Perhaps the intent was to portray this as a sloppy joe? No thank you.

I used to like this crap, but now have grown to know how bad it was. The story, not really so good and kind of unoriginal, the animation, although nice with the backgrounds,food, and effects, the character design and their movement is ugly and obnoxious, and the characters are either filler, idiots,or annoying. I will allow people to like this film though. However, the sequel was even more dumb and really bad.

Food from the sky, family and societal acceptance, a talking monkey... This movie has all the things to keep a family or a couple of people with am inner child entertained. Easily became a personal favorite.
