It shows his life in amazing and thought provoking detail with where his music comes from and how his life was. However some bits are unexplained and drag on such as a (very) long animation of notes in his diary

Some of the camcorder footage of Kurt and Courtney, and later with baby Frances, is rather tragic and with it's cut and paste visual style at times it feels like the film is trying to hard to be arty.

Good, but soo much un-original footage that fans would have already seen. Some good stuff tho
